18th Jordanian Chemical Conference
Dr. Rawan Khalaf from the Chemistry Department at the Faculty of Science, An-Najah National University, participated in the 18th Jordanian Chemical Conference, held on September 12-13, 2023, at the Hashemite University in Jordan.
"This participation included researchers and experts from various Jordanian and international universities, in addition to student researchers who presented their scientific papers in the fields of organic, inorganic, analytical, physical, environmental, medical, pharmaceutical, polymer, and industrial chemistry.
Dr. Rawan Khalaf participated in the conference by presenting a scientific paper titled 'Preparation of DNA-coated and DNA-templated Particles Using Molecular Imprinting Technology.' This new technique allows for the preparation of highly precise particles for assembly, and the creation of molecules that will open doors to multiple applications in physical and medical fields.
Dr. Khalaf also met with several chemists and specialists in the field of physical chemistry to explore potential research collaboration opportunities with several local, Arab, and international universities.
Dr. Khalaf thanked the university administration for their support and facilitation of her participation in the conference."

The scholarship student Rawan Khalaf, a graduate of An-Najah National University – Chemistry Department, in both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees, and currently a PhD candidate in Physical Chemistry and Polymers at Purdue University in France, won second place for the Best Presentation Award at Purdue University's Science Day."

"An-Najah continues its excellence in scientific research... A researcher from An-Najah contributed by authoring two chapters in a book published by the global publishing house Elsevier."
"An-Najah National University continues to excel in the field of scientific research, with its researchers contributing to the latest global research publications. Dr. Ismail Badran, an Associate Professor in the Chemistry Department, distinguished himself by authoring two chapters (one of which was authored independently) in a new book about nanotechnology, published by the global publishing house Elsevier, one of the most renowned and widely distributed publishers in the world. The book is titled:
'Nanoremediation, Modern Technologies for Treatment of Environmental Pollutants'"
