Dr. Mohammad Qneibi, founder and director of the Neuroscience Laboratory at An-Najah National University, has distinguished himself by publishing several scientific papers in internationally refereed and prestigious journals with a distinct impact factor, perhaps the most important of which was published in the Molecular Neurobiology Journal, with an impact factor of 5.682, where this journal is considered one of the top 20 journals concerned with the field of neuroscience (https://doi.org/10.1007/s12035-022-02913-4), in addition to the two research papers that were published in the Journal of Bioorganic Chemistry with an impact factor of 5.307 (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.bioorg.2021.105406).

All these studies focus on the biophysical properties and inhibitory role of synthetic organic compounds on glutamate neurotransmitter (AMPA) receptors, intending to treat AMPA receptor hyperactivity and over activity in neurological diseases such as epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, and strokes through the development of a class of preventive drugs that stabilize synapses.
